Maurice Smith Jr.
Maurice Smith Jr. is a follower of Jesus Christ and student-athlete who is passionate about faith and serving others. He is a family-oriented man at heart who values integrity, discipline, and living a life that reflects Christ both in ministry and in everyday life.
Before attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to play football, Maurice served as a Student Ministry Chaplain at Chowan University, where he had the opportunity to pour into students spiritually and help lead others closer to Christ. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership.
Through his testimony and walk with Christ, Maurice strives to reflect God’s love, truth, and grace in all that he does.
